Leviathan Inside

The ice melts in the east
Releasing the stench of the beast,
Tentacles reaching into every creed,
A Leviathan fed by deceit and greed.

Scorned by the lure of capitalist need,
Yet mastered the craft of the same misdeed.
Its demonic chaos floods every glowing screen,
While truth decays, unheard, unseen.

Its maw devours the sons of the soil,
Breaking their will, corrupting their toil.
A nation enslaved in its indomitable guise,
Bound by fear, bound by lies.

It whispers in the people’s ear,
Turning hope into despair and fear.
Dreams decay in an abandoned shell,
Where ambition rots, and freedoms fell.

Beyond the borders, the beast prowls,
Its shadow spreads, and its hunger howls.
Neighbours scorched beneath its tread,
Towns razed; rivers turned red.

The Leviathan speaks of an empire’s pride,
But its heart is hollow, and blood runs wide.
No anthem can mask the cries of pain,
No glory justifies its vile, omnipotent reign.

But listen now, a chime, a bell,
From cracks beneath the monster’s hell.
For even the Leviathan’s might will fade,
When songs rise up from the unafraid.

So sing, Rodina-mat, sing low and clear,
For truth outlives the reign of fear.
And though the beast may lash and fight,
The darkness shall fold beneath the light.
